Yield Criterion & Cyclic Hardening in Forming

Dear Expert,

I'm using InspireForm and HyperForm simulate my 'sheet metal forming process'.

I have some questions related to the material parameters in Radioss solver.

Currently, i'm using a material for stamping but i don't have its full specifications.

I have the stress-strain curve already. (taken from the tensile test).

However, in InspireForm, it requires us to define the yield criterion and cyclic hardening.

So my questions are:

1. Is it necessary to input the yield criterion and cyclic hardening?

2. How can i calculate those specs?
3. If i don't have those specs, what should i choose?

(i only have the tensile test data for 'force vs displacement'.

Thank in advance!

    Hello,

1.Yes, it is necessary. It will improve the springback prediction

2.Those values you will get it from material supplier

3.You can keep the default values by using similar material from database which has nearby values as per your requirement.
