size optimization

hello 

 

i want to size optimization in 1d truss

 

constraint: stress, buckling 

objective : minimize weight 

 

but it doesn't work ,

    but  I also  want  to add buckling conditions

     

    it that conditon which combine  buckling conditions ?

     

    In load steps conbine buckling condition  , but  I think buckling conditon were not used in size optimization.

    Hi @Ahn Sang Hyun

     

    I see that there are negative buckling modes in your model. Negative buckling modes suggest an instability in the model and they mean that the structure would buckle when the direction of the load is reversed i.e. for a member under compression, negative buckling modes indicates that the member would buckle if it is subjected to tension, which does not make sense. So, I suggest you check if the constraints and loads in the model are applied properly and rerun the job.
