Meshing method for topology optimization in OptiStruct

Hi,
I would like to mesh a 3D part with only cubic elements (jacobian = 1) and then I would like to perform topology optimizaiton. Could you please explain me the difference between classic and voxel mesh? How would the final result look like if I use:
a) HEXA mesh

b) voxel mesh

HI,

This type of mesh is only useful in topology optimization. It does not give meaningful results in a stress analysis.

Results are better with Hexa mesh but it is not possible to capture all details with pure hexas,

Voxel meshing and computation is faster compared to hexa, but the accuracy is poor
