    Hi Mayur,

Vibration is often measured in Gs (accelerometer) and it is convenient to use that way most of the time.

Do we have to provide acceleration ('g' value) while doing modal analysis?

Modal analysis means that no external force is acting on the system thus there is no input of g during the modal analysis. However  if we couple it with frequency response, then we need to apply some external loading which can be in the form of displacement, velocity or acceleration, depending on the vibration testing profile.

Check with experimental testing data if you have for the vibration profile .
