I'm running a uniaxial compression test simulation of an alluminium specimen under imposed velocity load. Why RADIOSS does not stop once the yield stress of allumium is reached and abundantly passed?

RADIOSS is an explicit solver which is used to determine the dynamic response of a structure due to stress wave propagation, impact or rapidly changing time-dependent loads. For RADIOSS the run will continue up til the time specified by the user (/RUN keyword in engine file).
In iterative implicit solvers the run will be iterated till it reaches convergence.
