nonlinear analysis_Large deformation_NLGEOM
I am a new to Hyperworks, and I get useful information from you and your company many times, thanks.
I got some questions, Please help me!!
1. I want to do nonlinear analysis through Radioss, But I can't find MATHE Setting in my hypermesh(Material->Isotropic-> Only MAT1 and MAT4)
does hyperworks 11 Version have MATHE material setting function? If not, How can I set the Hyperelastic material like a silicon. Through the Internet searching, there is MATS1 setting in MAT1. Should I use MATS1 to set Hyperelastic material?
2. I heard that Optistruct is an implicit solver and Radioss is explicit solver. Is that correct?
3. I heard that Hyperworks can do three kinds of nonlinear analysis
1) Geometry nonliearity
2) Material nonlinearity
3) Contact & Boundary Change
if so, How can do Geometry nonlinear analysis?
in my research, I should use DTI_unit setting, MATS1 material setting, NLPARM setting and NLGEOM Load step setting.
is that correct?
I am just a beginner, so Please help me...
Thanks!

Hi,
1) Unfortunately HW 11.0 does not support MATHE. But you can upgrade to latest HW version which is advanced and optimized compared to HW 11.0
2) Yes, but you can still setup explicit dynamic using OptiStruct which uses RADIOSS as solver in the background.
3) Yes you need to run NLGEOM with MATS1, NLPARAM, DTI_units with your current version of HW.
