Request for Support: Missing Stress and Strain Results in Radioss v2022.3 Bird Strike Analysis

Dear Support Team / Team,

I have completed a Bird Strike simulation using Altair Radioss v2022.3 (Classical Version). While the displacement results are visible and look correct in post-processing, no stress or strain data is visible in HyperView (the software indicates "No Result" or blank fields for these components).

The model consists of a mix of composite materials (Part 210014) and isotropic materials (Parts 210015 to 210017).

I have already configured the /H3D/SHELL output cards in the Engine file according to the material types, as shown attached.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Even i though I have added phi card, still not able to get the stress and strain output.

I found what is the reason, its the version 2022.3. we have to run in higher version to get required results.

I have another query.

* I have attachd the material and Property cards for composite, shell and sph. Please review this card  and let me know the selected options are ok. Please note that the values shown are dummy values.
* I am using the M25_compSH card for a composite material. I want to extract the residual strain for that component. I have added EPSP card, but am not able to see any plastic strain option in HyperView.

Forgot to mention:

/TENS/STRESS/PLY=ALL/…, /TENS/STRAIN/PLY=ALL/…, /PHI/PLY=ALL/… outputs should be limited to the composite material

Hi,

I quickly checked you 1.rad file.

First you can remove all the /ANIM keywords that are not needed anymore.

Then, the Composites outputs for shell depends on the type of modelling and of property that are used.

* If you are using zone-based approach with /PROP/TYPE11, then your outputs of stress and strain are correct; only output of the Phi angle is missing so that HyperView can compute and display Stress and Strain tensors with respect to material orientation (ply system)
* If you are using ply-based approach with /PROP/TYPE51 or PCOMPP, then shoudl replace the /LAYER=ALL keywords by /PLY=ALL/NPT=ALL

NPT=ALL can be replaced by NPT=i to reduce the outputs to a given integration point (i)

Similarly, output of the Phi angle is missing and should be added for the same plies and integration points
