Request for Student License Reset (Host ID changed due to VM reinstall)

Hello Altair Support Team,

I am currently using the Altair Student License for PSIM.
Recently, the Windows OS on my virtual machine (UTM) crashed, so I had to delete the virtual drive and install a fresh Windows OS.

Because of this, my system's Host ID (MAC address) has changed. When I try to enter my activation key, I get the following error message: "Error: Unable to access license store".

Also, since the old virtual drive is completely gone, I am unable to deactivate the license myself.

Could you please reset my current license on your end so I can activate it again on my new system?

Hi,

Your previous license key activation is now deactivated in Altair one, you can now reactivate the student license with the same license key.

Deactivation and reactivation feature is only if a computer breaks down or reformatted and is only allowed a few times per user preprogrammed into the system.

You can deactivate the license from one machine and reactivate in another by yourself if you have access to both machines as per –
