PSIM Installation Issue

Hi,

I’m experiencing the same issue as other colleagues with PSIM installation. The installer reaches 100%, but the installation wizard never opens.

I’ve already tried all the solutions suggested in other discussions, including the recommended Java versions and running the installer with LAX_VM, but the issue persists.

Have you found a solution for this issue?

I also checked the %TEMP% folder and found the following error:

"GUI mode is not supported : Assistive Technology not found:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.zerog.util.ZGUtil
…"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to solve the issue by:

1. Installing Java 8 from Eclipse Adoptium (jdk-8.0.504.1-hotspot).
2. Commenting out the accessibility-related lines in the accessibility.properties file.
3. Running the PSIM installer from an Administrator CMD, forcing it to use the Java 8 installation:

AltairPSIM2026.1_win64.exe LAX_VM "C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jdk-8.0.504.1-hotspot\bin\java.exe"

This solved the installation issue for me.
