: [Student License] Request for Activation Key Reset (Motherboard Replaced)

I replaced my laptop's motherboard, which changed my System/Hardware ID. Since the hardware changed, I am unable to access the previous environment to run almutil_gui.exe and deactivate my Student License.

Could you please reset/deactivate my previous activation record so I can reuse my key on the updated hardware?

HI,

The message license already exists in license store means the activation is already successful,

You could go to the location of the license in the license store, this is the path in the activation tab under the license store field, delete the .lic file there and then reactivate,

Following the deactivation process, I tried entering my Activation Key into the Altair License Utility (almutil_gui), but I am encountering the following error:

"Error activating license: License already exists in license store"

Is there any additional step I need to take besides re-entering the activation key?

I have attached a screenshot of the error. Any guidance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
