I have made a frame consisting of 1D elements, ref. horizontal frame 01.png. The frame is appr. 10 m x 7 m, and the beams are made from GRP. The frame is suspended from six lines, assumed to have no mass, and is only subjected to gravity.
I have made a non-linear static analysis, and my impression is that the displacements in one corner are way too high, ref. horizontal frame 02.png and horizontal frame 03.png. It is as if one connection of the frame is hinged. It is not, ref. horizontal frame 04.png.
How can I check if I have modelled the connections between the 1D elements correctly? Anything else I should check?
Btw, I'm using Hypermesh 2026 and Optistruct.
