I have two components that are pressed against one another and are attached using a laser weld (l-type). The mesh should not be changed, and one is meshed as a 3d solid section and the other is a 2d shell section (type:planar section).
I cannot realize the weld or give the depth and width of the seam weld when using the connectors. I have thought of creating a face on the most left surface of the pink mesh and and the contact face of the green mesh and tying these surfaces to the 3D mesh before creating the connector.
My sketched line lies on the surface of the pink meshes face touching the green mesh. If there is any other way to do this just as solids or shell sections I would greatly appreciate the help.
Lastly, since I intended to use a face-skin with little to no thicknesswill this even be plausible since the component on the right is a solid component and based on what i found online the thickness projection (when looking at shell sections with a planar section type) this could cause some issues
