Motionsolve Case 7022: Several Questions

I am using the 2026 version of Motionview and now I want to do bidirectional coupling between MS and Optistruct. I saw that the 7022 case is about this, but when reproducing the 7022 case, I checked the flex body and did not see the functional source and Input Optistruct in the tutorial. Do I need to set anything for this? In addition, I set the environment variable as a system environment variable. What is the correct setting and have you successfully set any images?

Hello @Jin1,

Close all the applications and you'd need to define the following environment variables
HW_MV_EXPERIMENTAL = OSFLEX

If it's not working in your case, then I'd recommend creating in User variables instead of System variables.

Reopen the Motionview application, and you should see the OS Flex Body option under flex as follows:

hello， I have an idea, but I'm not sure if it's feasible; Now MS and Optistruct can be coupled bidirectionally for calculation. According to case 7022, it is possible to couple bidirectionally, but this flexible body does not have graphics. Even if it exists, it is rigid. My idea is to use deformable surface to wrap it and generate a flexible graphics that can be calculated based on Optistruct. I just tried it, and currently deformable surface seems to only support 2D mesh generation. If feasible in the future, it seems that flexible geometry can be coupled into EDEM (geometry in EDEM is almost always rigid, and only coupling explicit dynamics can express geometric flexibility), thus achieving a type of flexible calculation similar to the picture I gave. I don't know if this can be done now. Can it be done in Motionview? Of course, this is just my sudden imagination
