Description: Hello, I am a student doing a master's thesis on multi-material and multi-objective topology optimization. I have successfully done both separately using Altair Hypermesh and OptiStruct, but now I was trying to achieve multi-material multi-objective topology optimization. I am trying a thermo-mechanical problem and my two materials are steel and cooper, but when I run the simulation OptiStruct seems to only update the mechanical properties (MAT1) when changing materials and the thermal properties (MAT4) stay the same as the base material for the design space (so I end up with a full steel result with copper thermal properties for example).
Is there any set up in hypermesh to achive the coupling of the MAT4 properties also with the density so each material is evaluated with all real properties and the solver really gives the best combination of materials and trusted results?
