Inquiry About Synchronizing Particle and Geometry Motion When Using the Fibers Bonding Model

Question

We are considering conducting an analysis in which the motion of particles and geometry are synchronized, similar to the toothbrush simulation shown at the URL below. However, since the Fibers Bonding model relies on Meta-Particles, we are having difficulty establishing a bond or synchronized motion between particles and geometry.

Therefore, I would like to inquire whether there is any method to couple particles with geometry, or otherwise synchronize their motion.

Hello @MA_Celigueta. Thanks a lot! Your suggestion worked perfectly.

Using the Rigid Link feature with “on time” and “link particles in contact only” did exactly what I needed. Adding a small contact radius to the sphero‑cylinders also helped stabilize the linking behavior.

Hello @ToyohiroKato0017 . I would say the easiest way to link particles to a geometry is by using the 'Rigid Link' feature in the factory that generates the meta-particles. You can add some contact radius to the sphero-cylinders and use option 'on time' with the sub-option 'Link particles in contact only'. Avoid using the option 'on creation' because it will link all particles in the meta-particle to the geometry.
