I would like to know if there is a way to use Hypermesh to convert old .dat (FEMAP Nastran) files with "glue" or "Linear contact" definitions to Optistructs "TIE" or "Contact" cards.
Currently even importing .dat files results in the "BGSET, BGPARAM, BCPARAM, BCSET and BCRPARA" not beeing recognised / iterpreted as unsupported.
- If this should work, how should a imported BGSET definition look like (any groups, sets, paramcards).
- Does the Edge to Surface Glue (BCEDGE ?) get recognised / work in Optistruct
- How would the conversion work, are there new entities created for the optistruct model?
I will provide some examples later, maybe some of my import settings are off.
