Installation of Academic licenses

Question

Hello everyone,

I am a professor in France, and I use AI Studio in an MBA course with 47 students. Unfortunately, the installation process has been extremely challenging. When searching online for installation instructions, we found many conflicting guides and recommendations, which created a great deal of confusion.

My students have faced significant difficulties installing the software, and this has caused delays and disruptions in the course. While I was eventually able to install it on my own machine, many students are still struggling, especially across different operating systems.

Could someone please provide clear, up-to-date installation instructions for both Windows and Mac, specifically for obtaining and installing the educational licenses?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I had 47 students going through those exact steps, and 45 of them failed to have the software installed. One is even a Siemens employee! I truly appreciate your reply, but I feel the whole process is extremely complex and many things can go wrong. I wish Altair could streamline it in the near future.

AI Studio can be accessed in two ways - through Altair’s Student Edition using Altair Licensing or through RapidMiner Licensing.

We recommend utilizing the Altair One Student Edition to access AI Studio. Steps to access the Altair Student Edition Bundle : -
