I just wanted to confirm exactly what results the .force file presented compared to visualising the results in a .h3d via Hyperview? For example, I was under the impression that if you gave an element a defined MCID that this is what the .force output file would generate results with respect to. However, when I check the results in Hyperview I can see that for the primary direction (X) then the results are almost identical, but the other components (primarily shear terms) differ a lot more between the two formats.
As a note, the correlation in Y component values improves when you apply projection to the results in Hyperview.
For context I am talking about element 2D forces.
