Hi guys!
I'm running a crash simulation of a composite Impact Attenuator, and I got the simulation to run with, what looks to me, good contact interaction and composite failure mode.
The problem is the energy absorbed during the crush, It's too low. At the beggining i thought the problem might be an inconsistency in the units used or the contact definitions between the impacting mass and the attenuator, however i wasn't able to spot the mistake.
I'm using type7 contact between the impactor and attenuator.
I use SH_SANDW property and LAW25_COMPSH with CRASURV formulation on the attenuator.
for all the details, I'm attaching the .hm and results file.
I find myself stuck and I hope you can help me troubleshoot the model!
