How can I connect a 2D element shell (a circle tube) that intersects with a small solid block.
it depends on many factors.
If you have the geometry, then you should make sure that they are connected from the beginning.
If you don't have the geometry anymore, then you will probably need to delete your solid mesh, connect it to the shell tube and regenerate the solid again, from a connected mesh.
Also depending on your solver, and what you're interested on, just a TIE/FREEZE/BONDED contact should do the job.
