Composite Flat Plate with Cohesive

I ran the model first without any cohesive elements with 4 plies in 1 shell. Now I would like to add cohesive elements between each shell but after adding the cohesive elements the model does not run properly. The force does not increase beyond zero. I suspect there is an issue with the interface modelling, but I am unable to figure out what the issue is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

When adding cohesive element, and i am assuming you are using /PROP/TYPE43(connect), the element orientation has to have s-dir in the thickness direction.

The stiffness of element present on the element normal s-direction and shear.. so there is not stiffness if it attempts to elongate in the other two orthogonal directions.
