S-frame unexpected reaction forces

G'day all,

Just looking for some assistance with the attached s-frame model. I am trying to assess a trailer chassis when raising a drilling mast. I have applied supports at ground level only. After running the analysis, for some reason I am getting reaction forces in the middle of the mast structure where there are no supports?

Is anyone able to troubleshoot my model and provide me some guidance? For some reason it won't let me upload the .TEL file, so I would need to send directly.

I worked out the problem, somehow there were some spring supports applied to some of the mast nodes…. I must have mis-clicked at some point because I didn't ever intentionally apply any spring supports

Thanks for the update, Matt, I'm glad you were able to resolve this issue.

For future reference, a good 'sanity' check I like to do when my reactions are unexpected is to graphically display the springs and supports to validate they are positioned to my expectations before analysis. The graphical display toggle is at the bottom of the screen in S-FRAME along what is referred to as the 'Status Bar'.
