Error3423 solution

Hello,

I am using Altair Inspire 2026.0 (before this 2025.1), I started having this problem in Altair Inspire 2025.1. Whenever I start a topology optimization the simulation will fail at 58%. After that I get Error3423 with the message contact Altair Support. This problem only occured after a while, before this i could run topology optimizations. I deleted the whole program (2025.1) after I got this problem and reinstalled 2026.0 hoping this would solve the problem. Still no luck, are there any solutions i can still try?

Hi Engin_Stefan02,

How much disk space do you have available on the machine? Can you try to run a simulation in Inspire that has a larger minimum member size and clear out disc space on your machine so that you have plenty available? One possibility is that the simulation is running out of disk space.

You could also go to the Inspire run directory location and delete old runs that you don't need to clear up space.

Update: by increase minimum member size, I meant increase "Thickness Constraint" option in Inspire- that is what it is called in OptiStruct.

Thanks a lot! It's a combination of the available disk space with a too small thickness constraint I think. I thought 18 gb of available disk space would be enough but apperently not. With a higher thickness constraint I didn't have the error message.
