I am reaching out to clear a few doubts on the way topology optimization is implemented in Flux v2024.
When using the SIMP method, what is the penalization applied to? Relative permeability, reluctivity or something else?
If possible, I would also like to know the interpolation scheme used for the parameters(s).
In addition I'm assuming that when the optimization has finished and the new project is built and solved, the removed elements are attributed to an air/vacuum region and their densities are all turned into 0 or 1 (so no more intermediate densities will be present), but what about the parameters penalized? Are they kept as they come out of the optimization (with the penalization based on the densities at the last iteration) or are they turned into the nominal values of air and solid material?
