Dear , I am trying to model CGAP to model the clearance in bolted joints. This element is used to connect CQUAD4 with CBUSH on both extremities of the joints.
I am checking this modeling techinique with a simple model before implementing it in a detailed model. In this model, the load is not transferred through the bolts as expected.
Could you please help me to implement this modeling idealization? Could you propose an alternative method / modeliing technique?
