Hello,
I am currently using the SimLab v2026 Student Edition. I have a question regarding the thermal-fluid analysis of a battery segment using the Solution - Flow tool.
(I apologize for any unnatural expressions; I'm relying on a translator for this message.)
The model geometry is as follows:
The area highlighted in green represents both the inlet face of the cooling fan and the inlet of the overall model being analyzed.
My question is: Since the cooling fan inlet and the model's inlet face overlap, how should I configure the Boundary Conditions (BC)?
- After entering the fan specifications in BC - Fan Component, do I need to redundantly enter the same specifications in BC - Inlet (setting Inflow Type to Velocity - Cylindrical)?
- Or, should I instead set the Inlet to 'Pressure' and input the 'Turbulence velocity scale' values there?
Additional Explanation:
As shown in the attached images, I have entered the values according to the cooling fan's specifications.
Should I enter the same fan specifications again by setting the Inflow Type to 'Velocity - Cylindrical'?
Or, should I set the Inflow Type to 'Pressure = 0' and then input the calculated value into the 'Turbulence velocity scale' section at the bottom?
I would appreciate your guidance on the correct setup for this scenario.
Thank you.
