Monarch - Will not open a model file

I use Monarch to turn a text file into an excel file. To do this, I first open the text file that I am trying to convert in Monarch. Next I go to open a Monarch model file that someone who no longer works at the company created to turn the text file into an excel file. When I try to open this file I get an error message saying "Cannot open model file: It shows the share drive folder location of the Monarch model file, then says The input stream is not a valid binary format. The starting contents (in bytes) are: 0C-50-4F-50-43-4F-52-4E-20-4F-50-45-52-41-54-49-4F…". Does anyone know how I can get this model file to open? Thank you.

A couple of questions.

What version of Monarch are you using?
Are you able to open (or double click) the model file first, before opening the text file?
What file extension is on the model file (.mod, .xmod, .dmod)?
You mentioned opening a text file. Is it really a text file that can be opened in notepad or other text editor, or is it a text PDF file?
Are you able to share the file and model? I can send you a secure link to upload so we can take a look at it.

I have never come across that error before. Do you have a backup copy of the model file in case it is corrupted?

I am using 2025.1 64 bit Altair Monarch Classic
I cannot open the model file. I get the same error message when I try.
The model file extension is .dmod
The text file is a .txt file. It can be opened in notepad.
Yes, just let me know the procedure for me sending you the model file and text file and I will do so.

By asking if I have a backup copy, do you mean I can save a copy of the model file on say my desktop as opposed to the one I have saved on the share drive and I would be safe like that? Also, one other person I work with is able to run through the process that I am having a problem with, and they can complete it with no problem. So I for sure do not want us to do anything here that may break that process working for them.

Sorry for the delay, but I had issues accessing my own secure filedrop mailbox. I have figured out the problem you are facing though.

Your dmod file is corrupted and you will need to restore a copy from somewhere else. You can see the issue by opening the dmod file in notepad (or any other text editor). It appears that the file has been overwritten by one of your text files or something. The dmod file provided is not a valid model file.
