I have a few questions regarding weld modeling and fatigue（simlab and hyperlife)

In Simlab, welding seams support solid welding seam modeling and node fusion using connection functions. However, in Hyperlife (Basic Version), welding seam fatigue only supports the Volvo method and does not support solid welding seam fatigue. It seems that Hyperlife (Welding Evaluation Version) supports static and fatigue strength of welding seams. So, does it support the hot spot stress method for solid welding seams? If it is not supported, simply using Simlab for weld seam modeling will inevitably result in concentrated stress at the weld seam, so it cannot be verified without following the specifications; But I understand that Dassault's fe safe defines weld toes manually through unit sets and node sets, so I am curious if Hyperlife (welding evaluation version) can evaluate solid welds? Do you have any case studies to share?

The current methods available in Simlab and HyperLife Basic do not include a dedicated approach for solid weld fatigue analysis. A comparable method to the FE-safe Verity approach is currently under development and will be released in a future version of HyperLife. At present, the available options are:

-Using a notch stress approach (explicit modeling of the weld geometry) and performing a standard S-N or ε-N fatigue analysis, or

-Using a nominal stress approach (without explicit weld modeling) in combination with a weld certification code within the HyperLife Weld Certification module.
