I am running a internal pipe flow simulation in HyperMesh CFD 2025 with the Acusolve solver. My flow is laminar, but then I cannot show wall shear stress results in post processing which I want. I can only see it when I use a turbulence model.
That is correct - wall_shear_stress is only reported for turbulence walls. You could try enabling turbulence (S-A model probably easiest for this), then initialize eddy-viscosity to a very low value like 1.e-10 so it's still essentially laminar. Then disable the actual turbulence equation - so it's not solved, just leaving the initial conditions. (In the input file - this would be in Auto_Solution_Strategy command turbulence = off.) Do the results now include wall_shear_stress?
Yes that seems to be a possible option to and allows stresses to be calculated, thank you.
