I want to create bolted joint connection with RBE2 element as head and Nut and beam as shank for M8 Bolts, How much diameter i have to create for beam diameter 8mm dia or 4*8mm dia?

a M8 bolt has a nominal diameter of 8mm
Thank you for your reply, but when using beams and RBE2 elements in bolted joints the beams produce more stiffness by using RBE2 elements, our components are 2mm sheets, a customer proposed us to use 4D as the dia for the bolt, is it correct or should we go with 1d.
