Description: Query in Transmission Loss results variation b\w HV (using expression) and Compose
Product: HyperView 2025.1 & Compose 2025.1
Dear Team,
I am working on a transmission loss analysis. In HyperView, I am calculating transmission loss using the expression:
20 * log(R1.S1 / 2e-5)
This gives me a transmission loss of 60 dB at 500 Hz.
However, when I perform the same calculation in Compose, the transmission loss at 500 Hz comes out to be 30 dB.
Could you please help me understand why there is a difference between the results from HyperView and Compose, and how this discrepancy can be resolved?
And i tried this tutorial,
OS-V: 1100 Transmission Loss in a Muffler
HyperView results,
Transmission Loss = 93-72 = 21 dB at 450 Hz
In Compose,
Transmission Loss = 20 dB at 450 Hz
Here, the results appear to match closely.
However, in my case, I am seeing a difference of nearly 30 dB.
How can this issue be resolved?
Also, how can I obtain the results using the Transmission Loss option in HyperMesh NVH (SEAM)?
When I try to run it, it shows an error.
Thanks,
Mugundhan.
