Damping in Optistruct.

Hello,

In an OptiStruct model where both PARAM,G and SDAMPING cards are defined, how does the solver determine which damping method to apply during a Modal Frequency Response (MFREQ) analysis? What is the interaction between these two damping definitions in this context?

Hello,

Both will be used in the analysis on top of each other. Modal damping is entered into the viscous damping matrix.
