Any suggestions on how to run a pothole FEA for a Chassis?

In general, a vehicle is simulated driving the pothole event using MotionSolve, a multibody dynamics application, to calculate the loads that the chassis would experience from this transient event. A load case is then developed and that load case is then applied to the chassis-only in a FEA environment like HyperMesh to complete a structural analysis.

This model is simply our example Sedan model with a standard Road Course event and a 2D pothole road file from the installation directory.
The ability to create this simulation is covered in detail in the Vehicle Modelling with MotionSolve eLearning in case the setup of this simulation is not familiar.
