Dear Experts, We are currently using the “AcuSolve–EDEM Bidirectional 3‑Phase Coupling” module and have encountered two questions:
1. When selecting “water”as the carrier phase, “EDEM particles” as Discrete Phase 1, and “air” as Discrete Phase 2, we would like to understand how the solver handles particle behavior once EDEM particles leave the primary phase and enter the air region. Does the program calculate particle–air interactions in this case? Figure 1 below shows the corresponding simulation setup.
2. In addition, in the “Eulerian Interface Type” setting shown in Figure 2, what do the options “smooth” and “sharp” specifically represent?
We sincerely appreciate your time and look forward to your kind reply. With our best regards!
