We’re excited to announce that the Altair Global Student Contest 2025 is now open! Running from September 15 through November 30, 2025, this year’s contest challenges students across the globe to explore the power of data science and AI using Altair AI Studio.
Whether you’re a data enthusiast, aspiring engineer, or tech innovator, this is your chance to turn data into real-world impact and win exciting prizes while doing it.
About the Contest
The Altair Global Student Contest is an annual competition that invites students to showcase their creativity and technical skills using Altair tools. For 2025, the spotlight is on data science and AI - two of the most transformative fields shaping our world today.
Using Altair AI Studio, participants are encouraged to design innovative, data-driven projects (think predictive models, AI-powered insights, optimization tools, or creative visualizations that address meaningful challenges).
How It Works
Students can choose how they want to approach the challenge by selecting one of three categories:
1️⃣ Work with your own dataset and use case
2️⃣ Use the dataset and use case provided by Altair
3️⃣ Use the dataset provided by Altair and define your own use case
Once your project is complete, simply record a short video (5–10 minutes) showcasing your work, explaining your results, and highlighting which decisions could be made based on the insights you found.
Then, upload your video to a public platform (like YouTube or Vimeo) and submit the link via the online form on our contest page.
Prizes
The top three submissions will receive the following cash prizes (in form of a virtual cash card):
🥇 $2000
🥈 $1000
🥉 $500
Winning projects will also be featured on Altair’s academic channels and community platforms, giving students the recognition they deserve for their creativity and innovation.
