I know, but I think it is possible, SAS provides settings for almost all CLI options using the config file, autoexec and options statement. The only remaining issue seems is programmatically closing the workbench, I am investigating a java solution, maybe proc groovy?

One more option.

Powerhell can open the workbench programmatically, with the bypass option.
