How to bind Optistruct 2025.1 to Intel Performance cores only

How to bind Optistruct 2025.1 to Intel 13th gen. Performance cores on Windows 11 Business 24H2?
Even on high optistruct process priority, optistruct switches from performance to efficiency cores. For solver performance reason it would be nice to avoid running on efficiency cores. Is there any solution or run-option to maximize solver performance?

Hello Thomas,

You should install MPI version 2021.14 (or 2021.16).

Once done, you should run OS using the following flag:

-mpipath "C:/Program Files(x86)/Intel/oneAPI/mpi/2021.16/bin"

Additionally, make sure to exclude the E-cores by setting the following sys env var:

I_MPI_PIN_PROCESSOR_EXCLUDE_LIST=8-23

Tanks for your answer.
Is there no way to use a Altair "out of the box" solution.
I thought mpi is also a part of the Altair mechanical solver installation package.
Is the additional Intel-Installation package nessesary?
AMD will also go big/little-core. A general solver option for handling core selection would be nice for the future.

However, the default configuration currently in use is version 2021.12.
