I performed impact analysis on a plate .
I used ENG /ANIM/SHELL/DAMA to get damage output
The result shows damage value as DAMAGE(Layer 1s) ..DAMAGE(Layer 5s). The damage value comes for 5 layers.
Which layer shall i consider to judge whether material failed or not ?
Do i have to take maximum of all layers or minimum of all layers ..or something else .
Is there any method to get one Damage value for a component ?
