I recently came across a tutorial on Preloaded Modal Frequency Response Analysis. While checking the CNTF output, I noticed that the contact forces in the modal frequency response are reset to zero, instead of reflecting the contact forces from the two previous load steps (pretension and pressure).
Is this the expected behavior? When the pretension state is included in the modal frequency response, shouldn’t the corresponding contact forces also be carried over?
