An issue was identified in Inspire Extrude 2025.1, where the FEM deck generated for HXOS couple analysis was applying the same load twice on certain surfaces.
This duplication could cause artificially increased deformation and stress values in the simulation.
This issue has been resolved and is now available as a patch for Inspire Extrude 2025.1.
How to Install a Patch
- Pre-requisite
- Official Inspire Extrude 2025.1 is already installed
- You have admin permission to overwrite the file extrusion_wizard_bat1.tbc
- Close Inspire Extrude 2025.1.
- Copy the file extrusion_wizard_bat1.tbc to your Desktop.
- Rename the file extrusion_wizard_bat1.tbc in C:\Program Files\Altair\2025.1\InspireExtrude2025.1\hwx\bin\win64\hw\hmbatch\hm\scripts\HyperXtrude to extrusion_wizard_bat1_tbc_old
- Copy the new file( extrusion_wizard_bat1.tbc) from step #3 to folder C:\Program Files\Altair\2025.1\InspireExtrude2025.1\hwx\bin\win64\hw\hmbatch\hm\scripts\HyperXtrude
- Note, if you have installed Inspire Extrude in a non-standard location, then drill down the respective \InspireExtrude2025.1\hwx\bin\win64\hw\hmbatch\hm\scripts\HyperXtrude folder
- Open Inspire Extrude 2025.1.
- Set up your coupled HXOS model as usual.
