Hi,
I want to export this attached antenna file as a STEP file, but the problem is that
Every time I am exporting this geometry as STEP format, it is taking the PEC layers in the whole structure. In the exported STEP file, the "holes" for the wire probe and the substrate material are missing; the whole structure is taking only PEC in the STEP file. Can anybody please help me?
How can I export the STEP file for this antenna so that I can get a proper layer with holes exactly like my CAD file?
@sswh2
STL and Gerber are both file formats that are commonly used in manufacturing.
However, I must point out that in your CAD file, there are no "holes" in the geometry. Visual connections in simulations like wires don't translate into real, manufacturable features like vias or holes.
If you want to use this model for fabrication, you will have to create holes in the antenna model. You can do that by replacing the wires by cylinders and subtracting the cylinders from the substrate to create holes for the feed.

Hi @sswh2,
STEP export from Feko includes only geometry solids. As a result, material assignments and wireports are not included in the exported STEP file.
Are you exporting this antenna model to another software? Can you elaborate on the usage of the STEP file?
Mam, I want to use this file for 3D printing with proper material and holes for the connector to fabricate my antenna.
@Shannon Mistry mam thanks!
You're welcome! @sswh2
