Trying to import CAD file freezes Altair Simlab

My workstation has a fresh install of Altair Simlab and I'm trying to import CAD files from Autodesk Inventor to do CFD simulation. But the program freezes instantly when trying to import a file and task manager shows the program as not responding and CPU usage is 0 %. Nothing happens even if I wait for an hour. I have tried importing the files as either .itp or STEP, same issue either way.

I'm using version v2025.1 and installed v2025.1 additionals during install, and checked the CAD compability.

Checked hardware recommendations and switched to workstation with more modern hardware and that solved the freeze issue, and to get the cad models imported, I exported the models in Inventor as parasolid .x_t format.
