I am trying to run another simulation in Radioss but it keeps failing because "there is no defined part in input file." However, everything in my .hm file appears to be defined so I am not sure where the error is. I have attached my .hm file as well as the .rad file in hopes of someone being able to assist me. I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!
Hi Sydney,
Good Morning!
I am unable access the HyperMesh file, i think you might be missed check the define box as shown in below picture.
Please select the define box (red circled)
Please update the above changes and let me know your comments,

Harish
My part was defined in the same way as the screenshot you attached. Does the error stem from something else then?
Thank you,
Sydney
Could you share the HM file, last file which is attached is not opening in my system.
Hi! Hopefully this file will work. Thank you!
Hi! I set the N2D3D setting to 1 (axisymmetrical) because that is what I found online to deal with the fact that there are both 2D and 3D elements in my model. I would like to run a crash analysis. What do you suggest?
Thank you very much,
Thanks for your comments.
For crash analysis we don't recommend to use axisymmetric method.
Please follow the below steps.
1- set N2D3D to off
2- Change all quad element type to shell elements.
Please update above changes and let me know your comments.
I will do that and let you know, thank you!
