Description: I'm working on a differential unit with disconnect to check the ratcheting behavior while engaging.
I have a piston, Spring plate, ball bearing and sleeve. The assembly for the differential disconnect is like, the solenoid pushes the piston, the piston applies force on bearing, the top ring of bearing pushes the spring plate (which gets compressed with spring with force applied) and the bottom bearing ring is sitting on the step slot of sleeve (meaning it can push the sleeve as the piston did).. now this sleeve will engage the bevel gear of the differential (this is disconnect network). and while releasing, the compressed spring helps the piston and solenoid back to its position. I have modeled to an extent with the knowledge I have but I'm unable to transfer the force/moment through bearing. How can I mimic the bearing model in Motionsolve? Help me with any inputs.
