Liquid bridge contact model for wet bulk material

Hi,

I just found the Liquid Bridge contact model as a new contact model in Altair EDEM 2025. I assumed it could handle the cohesive/sticky material caused by the water content percentage. Is it correct? And what is the difference if we use the JKR contact model rather than this new contact model? Thanks in advance for any thoughts or explanations.

One advantage of the liquid bridge model over JKR is the transfer of liquid between particles which doesn't happen with JKR.

Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the explanation. From the video, it's clearer now how to handle water content in the bulk material. There were a lot of questions about how to input the water percentage in wet bulk material Previously we assumed as cohesiveness behaviour that using the JKR contact model only. With this contact model, I hope could simulate more precisely. Thanks Stephen.
