RE: [EXTERNAL] FW: 070225 Download of my AI Studio for students
HI Antonio,
You need to perhaps reinstall the software, it is essential that the selection in preferred license is set to Altair Units and you click OK, you will then be asked to restart the application (not the computer).
Please try deleting the temporary files and folders before reinstalling like
- C:\Users\username\Documents\AltairRapidMiner
- C:\Users\username\.AltairRapidMiner
- And clear your temp folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp Etc.
Also, when installing, right click on the exe and run as administrator.
Good day, Rahul,
Thanks for the response.

I have questions.
I now have several app copies of “ai-studio-2025.1.0-win64-install” sitting in my File Explorer Downloads folder. Should
those be deleted before the re-install?
I recall moving fast to open the app, getting to the Choose
Install Location, screen shot 1, choosing the default Desti-
nation Folder and clicking on Install.
I believe that was the start of my problems.
Instead when I click on Browse, I see Program Files, Altair,
licensing2025.0.
I believe that should be the Destination Folder, my screen
shot 2.
In my licensing2025.0 folder there is bin, screen shot 3.
Inside bin, there is almutil_gui, screen shot 4.
Once more, before I try the re-install, I should first
delete all prior versions of the ai-studio app in my Downloads.
I should go all the way back, log in to Altair One, choose Marketplace, select Altair AI Studio, do Activation
with my license key, open the ai-studio app and fix the
destination folder.
Also you suggest I delete temporary files.
Before I shut down I always use CCleaner for Windows to delete temporary files.
That should cover it, I hope we are still on the same
page. Thanks again for your time.
Antonio
