Is it Possible to add a media source in HyperStudy after the optimization is done?

Hello,

I am using HyperStudy with HyperMesh CFD to conduct an optimization. I wanted to add a media source to produce visual results automatically, but the optimization is already over and it takes a long time to run. Can I add a media source as a response and can HyperStudy just generate the images without running everything again?

Hi @Ze_Rocha,

We will test your requirement & let you know if the 'Media Source' can be extracted post an optimization study.

It is possible for a DOE study but we will confirm the same for an optimization study in sometime.

Hi @Ze_Rocha,

As per internal testing, it is possible to extract 'Media Source' post performing an optimization provided it has been defined in the 'Setup' beforehand.

However, the media source (.jpeg/.png) should be manually placed in the optimization run folders & if a media source exists in the m_1 folder for each of the optimization runs having the same name as defined in the 'Setup', it would be shown automatically in the under 'Media' tab in the 'Post-Processing'.

However, if the 'Media Source' has not been defined in the 'Setup' beforehand, then, one can leverage the 'Existing Data' model type in HyperStudy to visualize the media source.

Kindly let us know if a procedure is required to use the 'Existing Data' model type in HyperStudy to visualize the media source.

not ideal, but you could create a new 'DOE' using the option 'Existing Data' and pull all the data from the optimization run into a new study, and add media sources as neeed.
