License Error with Altair Feko (Student Version)

Hi,

I’m having a problem with the student version of Altair Feko. I got the student license via Altair University back in November 2024. It worked fine for a while, but now I get an error saying the license is invalid or not found.

Anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it?

I have uninstalled and installed the software. I have checked the expiry date of my licence and it is still valid until October 2025.

The Host Id has not changed.

What I find a little conspicuous is that two locations are specified:

Could you maybe check the environment variable "ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH"?

Just look for the environment variable (you may google how to do it). On my German machine it looks like this:

In the environment variable the location of the license file is specified.

I did'nt fid the Licence in the environment variable

Did you find the variable ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH?

For my case i create the variable environment for wich path ? ( errore 6 ou 9 ) ?

I create it for this licence with the file .lic it is correct ?

Hi Romain_A,

Yes, the value of the environment variable ALTAIR_LISENSE_PATH is the location of the license file. I always thought that the file extension should be .dat, but I'm not sure for student licenses. If it doesn't work like this you may try changing .lic to .dat?
