From 3D to 2D in simlab for FLUX simulation

Is there any way to obtain a 2D geometry to simulate in Flux from a complex 3D CAD model? For instance, by creating a cutting plane on the 3D model and designating the resulting faces for simulation or something similar.

Additionally, I am assuming that SimLab is the tool to perform this task, but I am open to using any other tool if I am mistaken.

In SimLab, you can use the option under Geometry < Body < From Faces, to create separate 2D bodies from 3D CAD.

The downside is that it's a fairly complex CAD that I would like to avoid using through Flux, at least in its full version. That's why I thought of SimLab, understanding that it is the right tool to centralize this type of simplified operations. There is no Altair tool for this kind of tasks?
