why is there a difference between windows and linux

Hello

I am trying to deposit a chain of particles i give the chain a downward velocity of 20m/s in windows and linux with a time step of 2.5e-10 the chain deposits in windows without breaking in windows (only difference between the two is windows uses bondingV2 and linux uses bond3_5 api) why does the chains break in linux?

Hi, this is likely due to the difference in physics models used. If you use the same on both computers do you get the same result?

If the files are not confidential you can share the files with us for testing.

If the files are confidential, is it possible to create a generic model similar to that for testing.

Also, can you please confirm the EDEM version used in Windows and Linux and also is it custom model does you see the difference in model or EDEM standard in-built physics model?

Stephen, it does not work even if I use bondingV2 and give high velocity in Linux, the chains break. I can't do Bond35 in Windows as it takes an extremely long time.

Please tell me why this difference occurs
